Alexandra, many thanks for your very kind restack of the post! Greatly appreciated!

This is so true. I have always been a giver and a peacemaker who finds joy from within; living in alignment with my values is enough for me, even during difficult times in my personal and professional life. Your perspective resonates with me, as your posts always do. Thank you for this.

Ria, that is so very kind of you to say! Many thanks! And I know you absolutely embody that...knew it from the moment I met you!

This really resonates with me.

I think there is a profound difference between giving because we are trying to prove our worth, and giving because we already know our worth.

When we no longer need someone else to validate us, what we have to give becomes much freer. We can love without needing to be loved in return, encourage without needing recognition, and serve without needing to be seen.

And perhaps that is one of the great transformations of life, learning that what we spent so much of our lives looking for outside ourselves was there within us all along.

When we become secure in who we are, we don’t become less generous. We become more so. Not from emptiness or obligation, but from abundance.

And I love the thought that thriving isn’t necessarily about achievement at all. It can be as simple as living in alignment with our values and allowing what is already good within us to spill out into the world.

Beautiful post. 🪶💝

And that was an absolutely beautiful comment/commentary throughout! Indeed, every paragraph, sentence, and word you wrote rang true and is something worth printing out and putting somewhere to see and embrace every…single…day! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing that with us! (Not only were your thoughts wonderfully aligned with David’s, they also very much reminded me of my all-time favorite personal development author, Michael A. Singer. I can see/hear those words coming from him — please believe me when I say that is perhaps the highest compliment I could give a comment and its author.) :-)

Oh Bob, thank you! I’m genuinely a little lost for words. I wrote my comment simply because your post resonated with me, so to have you respond in such a generous way, and with a Michael A. Singer comparison! is pretty amazing. Thank you for taking the time to read my words so thoughtfully. It really means a lot. 🪶
